Fresha - School Lunches Update
We have met with Paul Banks from Fresha today, who has been in to the school kitchen on site for the afternoon.
Paul asked us to share with you that he has delivered all of the menu and allergen files to the school kitchen. Although these files are very detailed and exceed the requirements of the Government school food plan, we understand that for some of you, it is not the detail you are asking for. Because other schools have not asked for this before, this information is not available today in the format you are used to. However, during the Easter break, Fresha will create the allergen menus in the format that has been requested by a few of you.
He has also shared with us an email address that is designated to schools that is checked daily: firstname.lastname@example.org for you to use as needed.
The Trust and Fresha are working in close partnership and have had a successful relationship in many other schools where children with varying allergies are well catered for and there have been no serious concerns raised.
As the menu is on a three-week rota, there will be an experienced Fresha chef onsite called Martin, who is part of the menu writing team. He will be supporting in the kitchen to ensure the staff are confident and informed.
As you know, Fresha is a regional Exeter based company who very much want to work closely with the school and parents. They assure us that they welcome your questions and feedback.
We hope this helps alleviate your concerns.
