Welcome

Welcome to St Leonard's (CofE) Primary School (VC).

We are a large Outstanding Church of England Primary School in the cathedral city of Exeter, Devon. We currently have 600 pupils, growing to 630 next year as the final year of planned growth. The school is set on a large plot just off of Topsham Road and benefits from large open spaces for children to engage with learning outdoors, whilst also having plenty of space to enjoy break and lunch times with their friends. The school has been extended a number of times, which is reflected in the age of the buildings, to accommodate the growth and continued success of the school and its community.

We are proud to serve our community and enjoy the many links that we have with our local church and local charities.

Our school values of Trust, Kindness, Responsibility, Friendship, Forgiveness and Respect are central to all that we do in school and inform all aspects of school life; from our behaviour policy right through to our teaching and learning.

We hold the highest expectations of our young learners, both academically and socially, and strive to ensure that they receive the best education by being research informed and reflective, whilst preparing children to be successful contributors to society.

Come and have a look around - we would love to welcome you.

On 1st September 2018 we joined St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust. The trust is made up of faith and community schools and our vision is intentionally rooted in the Church of England’s Vision for Education (2016). The CofE vision explores the principle of ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10v10, The Bible) through four strands: dignity, wisdom, life together and hope. We aim to keep these intrinsic to our pursuit of enabling the flourishing of pupils, parents and staff of all faiths and none as a direct result of being part of our Trust.
