Welcome

We are a large Outstanding Church of England Primary School in the cathedral city of Exeter, Devon. We currently have approximately 600 pupils.

The school is set on a large plot just off of Topsham Road and benefits from wide open spaces for children to engage with learning outdoors and to enjoy break and lunch times with their friends.

The school has been extended a number of times, which is reflected in the age of the buildings, to accommodate the growth and continued success of the school. We are proud to serve our community and enjoy the many links that we have with our local church here in St Leonard's, as well as a thriving PTA.

Our vision is to establish a community in which everyone is 'The Best You Can Be'. This vision is lived and breathed through our school values of Trust, Kindness, Responsibility, Friendship, Forgiveness and Respect which are central to all that we do and inform all aspects of school life - from our relationships policy right through to our teaching and learning.

We hold the highest expectations of our young learners, both academically and socially and strive to ensure that they receive the best education by being research informed and reflective, whilst preparing children to be successful contributors to society.

The vision of the Trust is summed up in the statement, ‘Flourishing Communities’.  Though we are a Trust made up of faith and community schools, our vision is intentionally rooted in the Church of England’s Vision for Education (2016). The CofE vision explores the principle of ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10v10, The Bible) through four strands: dignity, wisdom, life together and hope.  We aim to keep these intrinsic to our pursuit of enabling the flourishing of pupils, parents and staff of all faiths and none as a direct result of being part of our Trust.  Our vision is explored and expressed through our ‘CHRIST’ values of Collaboration, Humility, Respect, Inclusion, Stewardship, Trust.

St Leonard's CofE Primary School is proud to be part of St Christopher's Multi Academy Trust.
