St Leonard’s Primary School has its own distinctive ethos and values which has at its heart the care for all children within the context of broadly Christian values.  We recognise children as highly valuable individuals and believe that each one is special.  We believe that for every child to thrive they need a secure and happy environment.  St Leonard’s seeks to develop new and exciting approaches to meet the needs of the modern child.

At its heart the school tries to work closely with parents and carers to meet all the children’s diverse needs.  We recognise that families are in a great variety of circumstances and so our approaches will try to reflect that.  It is our belief that the school has a partnership with families to develop the whole child.  To this end the school provides a curriculum which enables children to develop core skills but also helps them progress physically, spiritually, in the arts and socially.  We understand that children develop at different rates and with different strengths and we try to meet these needs whilst challenging them to achieve their best in a happy, hardworking atmosphere.
