YEAR 2 READING CHALLENGE

This week we will introduce the children to our YEAR 2 READING CHALLENGE.

The children will receive certificates for reading to an adult both in school and at home.

Please record in your child’s yellow reading record each time they read and then tick or colour in a reading star.  The star sheet will be stapled into your child’s reading record.

We will aim to hear them read in school fortnightly and add this to their total number of reads.

 

10 Stars = Famous Author Reading certificate

25 Stars = Great Reader certificate

50 Stars = Book Worm certificate

75 Stars = Super Star Reader certificate

100 Stars = Reading Champion certificate

 

Children are encouraged to change their reading books as often as they need to.  Please ensure your child has their reading book and reading record in school every day.
