Phonics

Here at St Leonard’s we have introduced a new phonics scheme from September 2021. We now follow Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised, which is a complete systematic synthetic phonics programme (SSP). 
 

The Little Wandle website provides additional support for parents, including how to pronounce the pure sounds we teach, how children are taught to say their sounds and the little sayings which are used to support correct letter formation.
