Parent Inclusion Ambassador

Hello my name is Jane and I am the Parent Inclusion Ambassador for the school.

It is a voluntary position which I have held for a few years with the support of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (Lucy Thompson), PTA, Governors and Senior Leadership Team.

My daughter Chloe (who is registered blind and profoundly deaf) was included incredibly well at St Leonard’s Primary School and has now successfully transitioned to secondary school. I am delighted to be carrying on in this role and hope our monthly meet ups over coffee and croissants attract even more people this year.

The meetings are a chance for parent carers to meet, get support and think together about how our children can be included in all aspects of school life. We invite relevant professionals to some meetings and talk about school events / systems and procedures. We are keen to include as many parent carers as possible. There is no need for a formal diagnosis or obvious need - if your child struggles with school life for whatever reason, please come along and join the conversation.
