I wanted to give you a brief update on our Covid-19 situation. As I write this email, I have not yet heard back from Public Health England. Therefore, we contacted the Health Team at the Local Authority and they informed us that we do not need to take any further action beyond what we have done at this time. We currently have 12 children in Y6, 1 child in Y5 and 2 children in Y4 who have tested positive on a PCR test, which is 2.7% of our school population. Half term affords us a fire break, which I am hopeful will allow cases to reduce.
It was wonderful to catch up (outside!) over the last three evenings of parent meetings. I have been overwhelmed by the positive messages we have received regarding how well we are doing as a school and how happy your children are. These comments are so valuable to us – thank you.
I wish you a wonderful half term and look forward to seeing you all on our first day back on Tues 2nd November.
