Covid 19 Information Update
We would like to take the opportunity to remind you that our Covid-19 risk assessment has not changed. We are noticing an increase in cases in our community.
If your child or a member of your household experience any of the main three Covid-19 symptoms, you must self-isolate and book a PCR swab test here https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test. If you are unsure or require advice, please call 119. Please note, a LFT (Lateral Flow Test) cannot replace a PCR swab test should you experience any of the symptoms below.
Reminder of the main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19):
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Regular Rapid Lateral Flow Covid-19 Tests (LFT’s)
About 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 do not have symptoms but can still infect others.
The NHS website recommends that adults should do a rapid test twice a week (every 3 to 4 days) to check if you have the virus. If people test positive and self-isolate, it helps stop the virus spreading. Test kits can be ordered here https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
We appreciate your co-operation.
